Field Portal
What crews see and do in the field, including offline work.
What the Field Portal is and how to switch into it
The Field Portal is the stripped-down view crews use on a phone or tablet. It shows only My Tasks, My Timesheet, My Schedule, Project Search, My Purchases and My Profile, and anyone with management access can flip into it from the sidebar toggle.
Find your work: My Tasks and My Schedule
My Tasks is the to-do list - timesheets to submit and reports still owed. My Schedule is the week view of assigned work orders, bookings and time off. Between them a crew member can see everything expected of them today.
Assign yourself to a work order from Project Search
If your company turns on self-assignment, site leads and site workers can pick up a job from Project Search without waiting for a scheduler. The button only appears on work orders that are ready, assigned or active.
Submit a daily progress report with photos
Daily progress reports are the running record of what happened on site: notes, photos and progress against the scope. They are informational, need no approval, and can be filed more than once on the same work order.
Submit a completion report and get it approved
A completion report closes out the work. It is built from the scope checklist, needs the minimum number of photos your company requires, and goes to a manager for approval rather than being filed and forgotten.
Log your hours from the field
My Timesheet is where a crew member records the day. Add time entries against the work you did, or submit a 0 hour day when you did not work, then move through the week with the day chips.
Work offline and sync when you get signal
WorkSkedge is a full PWA. Install it to the home screen, and crews can keep viewing their schedule, updating the scope, filing reports and entering time with no cell service - everything queues on the device and syncs when signal returns.
