Scheduling & Dispatch
Assign crews, resolve conflicts, manage time off and dispatch the day.
Schedule a work order with the Schedule Wizard
Set the dates and times, assign employees, give anyone a custom time window, resolve conflicts, then save as a draft or assign the schedule to send notifications and calendar invites.
How do I use the Dispatch Board to manage today's work?
The Dispatch Board (/a/dispatch) is your live view of today: who is on site, late, or blocked, plus a Needs You inbox of everything waiting on a person. Use it to log disruptions, make quick crew swaps, and fill gaps from the Available crew list.
Should I use the Dispatch Board or Advanced Scheduling?
Use the Dispatch Board for today: live status, disruptions, and quick one-step swaps. Use Advanced Scheduling for the horizon: reshuffling jobs across days, filling the next 7–14 days, draft plans, and scheduling rules.
How do I build a draft schedule plan and commit it?
Draft plans let you shape a whole scheduling scenario across the horizon without touching the live schedule. Add jobs to a draft, optionally text the customer to confirm dates, then Apply schedule — which approves the plan, writes every item to the real schedule, moves work orders to Assigned, and emails the crew.
Can field workers assign themselves to work orders?
Yes — when the company enables it. Turn on Settings → Scheduling → Allow field workers to self-assign to work orders, and Site Leads and Site Workers get an Assign to Me button on eligible work orders from the Project Search page.
